Sharm el-Sheikh

Sharm El-Sheikh is the number one diving destination in the world with renowned coral reefs, famous shipwrecks and a rich marine life. ´Sharm´ is situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula on the coastal strip along the Red Sea.

Its population is estimated to be around 35,000. Sharm el-Sheikh is the administrative hub of Egypt’s South Sinai Governorate which includes the smaller coastal towns of Dahab and Nuweiba and the mountainous interior, Saint Catherine’s Monastery and Mount Sinai.
