Dutch Caribbean

The Dutch Caribbean, formerly known as The Netherlands Antilles, is a popular destination for sun, sand and sea, both for Europeans and Americans. Bonaire is one of the diving capitals in the world, with healthy, colorful reefs. But also Aruba and Curacao are nice to explore with colorful Willemstad on Curacao or the amazing beaches of Aruba.

Curacao is the biggest island with most facilities, such as shopping, golf, historical sites, a lively nightlife, etc. Tiny Aruba has a laid back atmosphere with great beaches and is the best place to relax and enjoy a peaceful (and sunny) vacation. So your choice for the best island to stay depends on your diving and non-diving wishes:

  • Bonarie: diving capital with amazing, healthy reefs.
  • Curaçao: the largest of the three “ABC islands” (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao). Pretty good diving, colorful Willemstad and some cultural and historical sites.
  • Aruba: the smallest island, focused on watersports, couples and family holidays.

See the individual sections on the islands below to determine which one you like the most.

Whatever your choice, your vacation will be relaxing and sunny!
