Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is characterized by different climates and landscapes: long beaches and dunes, contrasting with green ravines and picturesque villages. A third of the island is under protection as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The main location for diving is the Marine Reserve El Cabrón.

Along the south coast of the clean bays, beaches and also a large area with huge sand dunes. The center of the island is dominated by mountain slopes cut by deep ravines (Barranco’s). Further north, the landscape gets greener. Here it is more humid than on the south side of the island. The most diving spots are in the south of Gran Canaria.
