Faial, also called the Blue Island, is part of the "Triangle Islands”. Due to its great depths and rich channel it attracts large marine life which makes it a good base for whale watching. It has some great diving highlights, including the renowned Condor Bank and it is also possible to reach one of the best site in the Azores from here: Princess Alice Bank.

Faial is part of the Central Group of Islands, also called the “Triangle Islands”, which includes São Jorge and Pico, the latter being just 6 km away and therefore good to combine with a holiday on Faial. Faial has the most volcanic sand beaches of the Azores.There are a dozen of interesting diving spots with some great highlights, with walls, canyons and lava flows, with interesting marine life.
