The Florida Keys, also called the Sunshine State, is one of the most popular holiday destinations of the United States. Here you can find amusement parks, the Kennedy Space Center, over 400 km (663 miles) of beaches and endless rivers and waterways, including the Everglades. Scuba diving is also very popular, with the Florida Keys as the main destination.

Although the Keys are the most popular diving destination there is much more to explore, such as caves and sinkholes in Central/West Florida, enormous US Navy Ship wrecks at the Florida Panhandle (northwest) or over 60 artificial reefs near Miami and the (south)east coast. Marine life includes Goliath Groupers, Stingrays, Sharks, and Moray.

See the “Where to go” section for a description of these areas.
